About Harbor Light Content Group

Harbor Light Content Group is a professional book development and publishing company serving first-time authors, established authors, businesses, ministries, organizations, and publishing partners throughout the United States and internationally. Beginning in 2027, Harbor Light Content Group will operate through three distinct divisions: Author Coaching & Consulting, providing professional publishing guidance, strategy, and author development; Book Development & Design, providing professional editorial, design, and production services for authors, organizations, and publishers pursuing an author-owned or nontraditional publishing path; and Traditional Christian Publishing, a separate traditional Christian publishing division launching in 2027.

Clarity. Excellence. Purpose.

Experience That Matters

Established in 2026, Harbor Light Content Group is built on nearly forty years of combined professional publishing experience and involvement in the development and production of more than 500 books, including major Bible publishing projects.

Our experience includes author and manuscript development, editorial coordination, ghostwriting, cover and interior book design, book production, metadata, project management, traditional and independent publishing, book branding and marketing, publishing strategy, and international publishing.

Andy and Cathy Sanders previously co-founded 5-Fold Media, helped develop Lifeword Publishing, and have provided publishing and consulting services to authors, ministries, organizations, and publishing companies throughout the United States and internationally. Their combined experience brings together hands-on book production, publishing strategy, author development, and long-term project management. We have also previously worked on a few different Bible projects. Read our official statement about The Passion Translation.

Author Coaching & Consulting

Our Author Coaching & Consulting division serves first-time and experienced authors seeking professional guidance in publishing strategy, manuscript development and evaluation, book positioning, project planning, publishing pathways, and book marketing strategy.

This division is consulting only. Harbor Light Content Group does not serve as the publisher of record, and the HLCG name, logo, or imprint is not placed on the client’s book. Clients retain full ownership of their intellectual property, publishing rights, and project materials. Harbor Light Content Group does not acquire or retain rights to the client’s work. Authors interested in professional coaching or publishing consultation may contact us.

Book Development & Design

Our Book Development & Design division serves authors, organizations, and publishers seeking professional book development and production services outside the traditional publishing model. Services may include manuscript development, editorial coordination, cover design, interior book design, eBook production, metadata development, and print-production preparation.

Clients retain ownership of their intellectual property, publishing rights, and completed production files and may publish or distribute their books through Amazon KDP, Ingram Content Group, another printer, distributor, publisher, or platform of their choice. Our HLCG logo will not be placed on the client’s book project. We retain no rights to the client’s book project.  Authors, organizations, and publishers interested in professional Book Development & Design services may contact us.

Traditional Christian Publishing — Launching 2027

Harbor Light Content Group's Traditional Christian Publishing division will launch in 2027 as a traditional Christian publishing company. This division will consider agented submissions only. Harbor Light Content Group’s traditional publishing division will not accept unsolicited manuscripts or direct author submissions for traditional publishing. Authors seeking consideration must be represented by a professional literary agent. Authors without professional literary representation may not submit manuscripts directly to this division. This requirement applies only to Traditional Christian Publishing; a literary agent is not required for Author Coaching & Consulting or Book Development & Design. Literary agents representing qualified authors may email: traditional@harborlightcontentgroup.com.
